The Process

Your breastfeeding journey is unique, and so is the keepsake created from it. From the moment you place your order to the day your jewellery arrives at your door, each piece is carefully handcrafted with love and attention.

1. Choose Your Keepsake

The first step is simply choosing the piece of jewellery you'd like to create.

Place your order through the website and, if you need one, add a Collection Kit to your order. This contains everything you need to safely collect and send your breastmilk to me.

2. Sending Your Breastmilk

If you've ordered a Collection Kit, it will be sent directly to you. Inside, you'll find a tube to collect your breastmilk, a return address label inside a padded mailer that can be reused to send your milk safely back to me.

If you don't require a Collection Kit, you'll receive an email with the address to send your breastmilk to.

3. Your Milk Arrives

Once your breastmilk arrives safely with me, it is added to the queue for preservation.

This is where the transformation begins.

4. Carefully Preserved by Hand

Your breastmilk is gently warmed and combined with a specialised preservation powder, transforming it into a thick paste.

The mixture is then carefully spread onto parchment paper and placed into a drying tray, where it is left for around three days.

Once completely dry, the preserved milk is gently crumbled and hand-ground using a pestle and mortar until it becomes a fine powder. Doing this by hand allows me to carefully create the fine consistency needed to make your keepsake.

5. Creating Your Keepsake

Once your breastmilk powder is ready, the creation process can begin.

Depending on the piece you've chosen, I will either create a breastmilk stone using a silicone mould sized specifically for your jewellery or carefully pour the preserved breastmilk directly into the jewellery setting.

Slowly, your breastmilk begins its transformation into something you can hold onto forever. 🤍
