Breastmilk jewellery is so much more than just jewellery to me. Every piece tells a story of love, perseverance, sleepless nights, cuddles, and a journey that deserves to be remembered.
As a mum of three boys, my own breastfeeding journeys were all completely different. I breastfed my boys for 16 months, 8 weeks, and 26 months respectively, each with their own challenges. From a painful lip tie that caused an awful latch, to a baby who screamed through every feed, eventually leading us to end our breastfeeding journey much earlier than I'd hoped, I know firsthand that breastfeeding isn't always easy.
With my first son, I was a single mum. I would often admire breastmilk jewellery, but it simply wasn't something I could afford. It always made me a little sad knowing I'd never have that special keepsake to remember such an important chapter of our lives.
By the time I had my third—and final—baby, I knew I wanted to create something to treasure forever. I was finally in a position where I could, but living on a small island meant my only option was sending my milk overseas. The jewellery itself was expensive, and once postage was added, it became even harder to justify. Like so many mums, spending that kind of money on myself just didn't feel possible.
So, I decided to learn how to make it myself.
I completed professional training, spent countless hours practising, and created pieces for friends before eventually opening my own little business, selling locally through Instagram. It quickly became something I truly loved—not just making beautiful jewellery, but creating meaningful keepsakes that hold so much emotion.
Now, after making the big move across the world, I've found home in Two Rocks, Western Australia, about an hour north of Perth. I'm so excited to continue creating these precious keepsakes for families here in Australia.
Every piece that leaves my studio is treated with the same love and care I'd want for my own memories. From the moment your precious inclusions arrive, they're handled with care, thoughtfully preserved, and handcrafted into a piece that's completely unique to you.
I know the perseverance breastfeeding takes. I know the sacrifices, the exhaustion, the joy, and sometimes the heartbreak. I also know how quickly those days become memories.
It is an honour to help preserve a small part of your story, creating something you can wear and treasure for years to come.
